Hello everyone, I have heard about Microsoft train simulator 2. What are their histories and I want to know about its upcoming versions?
May 2001 Microsoft Train Simulator was launched for Microsoft Windows. It allows the player to operate a train on various routes of Europe, Asia, and the United States.
On May 7, 2003, the sequel was launch. Kuju Entertainment is the developer of the MTS 2.
Microsoft Game studio develops this version, which is popular for its long line of Microsoft Flight Simulator.
But on 23 January 2009, Microsoft permanently closed the ACES which was responsible for the development of Microsoft train simulator 2 and Flight Simulator.
So all the future development is a halt of these applications.
I have the original version of the game, the Microsoft Train Simulator. If you want to install the “Microsoft Train Simulator 2,” unfortunately, it is not possible because the game has never been released. Because of the closure of the ACES Studio in January 23, 2009, further development of this game has been put to a halt.
The game was first announced on January 19, 2007 and was originally scheduled for release in the last quarter of 2009. In late 2008, Rick Selby, the game’s lead designer, announced that it will be supporting Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. It was supposedly the successor to the first Microsoft Train Simulator.
It is currently unknown if the Train Simulator 2 project will ever be resurrected by Microsoft though they state that they are committed to both Train Simulator and Flight Simulator brands.
