Hi guys,

I would like help with coming up with a proper usable data backup plan, that can be applied in real life for safety and recovery activities. The plan should have guidelines o how backups should be created, identified and kept safe at an offsite location. It should also provide guidelines on the steps to take in case of data loss and how recovery will take place.

I will use this information to create a data backup plan example doc file for public use. Anyone who can help me on this please reply to this post.

Hi Barb,

I can suggest using an online backup service, where you can save, store and access your files from any computer that has an internet access.

Those websites are password protected so you are sure that no unauthorized access can be done with your files.  Some of these services give you as much as 7GB of free online storage, and like what you said in your post you are mainly going to use it for documents, so I'm pretty sure 7GB is enough to get you started.

Click here for a list of the best online storage the web can offer you.
