Hello,
When trying to install DAEMON Tools V. 3.47 the following error occurs:
DAEMON Tools 3.47.0
Device setup error: code 25028 (0x61C4), 998 (0x3E6). Contact your support personnel.
                      OK
I am using windows XP professional V.2002 SP 2 with a burning software Nero 6.3.1.25. The antivirus software is Norton antivirus 9.0.0.338 and the daemon tools version is 3.47.0.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Hello Young,
If you modified the shell32.dll file, then that is the most probable reason as to why you are getting that error. To resolve the issue therefore you will need to uninstall the Daemon Tools application and then reinstall it, this time round making sure that you narrow it down while configuring the fresh installation of the OS.

Error code 25028 may be shown at time of installing DAEMON tools for some simple reasons. If any icon has changed unfortunately anyway, then it is the most possible cause of this problem. Mainly it may be for shell32.dll. So try to recover the changed icon or download the application again. Another thing you may do is install windows again.
