I have downloaded many HD Video Songs and Movies from Internet. When I Play them in VLC Media Player, whole Screen is not covered by the Video file. Lower and upper portion of screen is a Black Portion, occupied by the File. I want to view Full Screen videos in my Sony Bravia LED, so how to edit the video so that the Black portion from upper and lower portion gets removed?
Cut Black portion from upper and lower of a Video File?
The black portions on the video located on the upper and lower part of the screen are the blank edges. Blank edge occurs on a video when the aspect of the source video and the destination video is different. I’m not sure if you can still remove the blank edge from the video if the original video has it.
Also, even if you managed to remove the black portions by trimming the video, you are not sure if the output will be desirable because the height of the video will change. And if you’ll try to play the video either on the computer or on TV when you burn it on a CD or a DVD disc, the image may display incorrectly.
I already tried removing blank edges on my videos before using Total Video Converter, though the result was acceptable, I’m not sure if this will be the same on all the videos you will be processing. To try it yourself, download and install Total Video Converter.
