Hello Experts,

Hi, I am new to Photoshop.  I am getting this error message when using the color replacement tool, see screenshot below.  Can anyone direct me on how to convert image to RGB? What if I need to use the color replacement tool and at the same time indexed color images? What should I do?  Please help.

Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended

Could not use the color replacement tool because it does not work with Indexed Color images (convert image to RGB Color mode to edit).

Hi MannyR!

I'm sorry to hear that problems of yours. If you are new to Adobe Photoshop, you really have to be patient because sometimes it is very confusing.  Anyway, to convert your image to RGB, go to "image" then "mode" and there you will see the RGB option. I also want to remind you that the color replacement tool will not work in Bitmap images, Indexed images and multi channel color modes. All you have to do to be able to use color replacement is convert your image into RGB. I hope that this might help you. Thanks and Regards.
