Could not open the file error message on Windows

Hello,

I am using Windows NT machine for my business purpose. I know this is quite an old OS but there are a few settings which I find very stable in Windows NT.

Everything was working fine, but from the past few days whenever I am trying to open any file or folder I keep getting this error message:

Couldn't open the file because the file was not open.

Couldn't open the file because the file was not open.

I do not want to upgrade my OS just for this particular error message. I was hoping if someone was aware of this error message.

I would appreciate the help if anyone could suggest me why I am getting this error message on my machine.

I am also using the Windows NT machine and I was facing the problem as you are facing in the form of errors. I have found its solution and at last I updated my software version and I got rid of this problem forever.

If you do not want to upgrade your current software then there is another option for you. You should use tool handle.exe, this shows amazing results and all of your errors and problems will be solved by this software. I am using this software and I am free from all the problems and issues and I prefer it to others as well because of its outstanding working.

Are you having the file that you want to open on your hard drive or a cd? The drive may be the one having problems. The problem may also be resulting as a matter of the file that you are trying to copy being used by another process. And therefore if you try to copy and paste it, then the copy is not in use, and therefore the copying process should be successful.

But when you try to cut and paste that file you will be still dealing with the original file and any other application that may be using it, and therefore the copy process will not be successful.
