How to find the software program so I can convert Intel HEX to ASM? Does anyone know where else to locate the converter software because I can't find it on free download websites.

If you want to convert HEX file into asm then you need a disassembler. I have also faced this problem So I used a software “Tsim8051” for this purpose. It is easy to understand software. It is quite forward to use.
There are also some disassemblers you can use for this purpose like disassembler84, PIC17cxx disassembler and PICDIS A Simple PIC16C84 Disassembler.
