Contacts have disappeared from Cell Phone.

Launch settings on the menu, select apps-all-phone. Select the force stop and clear data options. Repeat the same for the contacts app. Once complete restart your device. You should be able to view your contacts.

Alternatively,

Launch settings-Accounts-Google and check if you are signed in to your Gmail account. If not you should sign in to retrieve your contacts.
