I installed a software from a DVD, but on seeing that it was not the software I wanted I decided to uninstall it using the IObit Uninstaller in the v4 Tools. But as soon as I launch the uninstaller, I get the error below. I have searched many sites but I did not understand how to solve it. I am seeking simple explanation on solving this error quickly.

Error – There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive F:

Constant problems with IObit uninstaller

Hey Mr. Cooper,

When you installed the program from your dvd, the IObit uninstaller by default tries removing the program from the dvd drive itself irrespective of where you installed the program.

This means that the problem is not on your part.

Try these steps:

1 Just open the location where IObit Uninstaller is installed on your drive.

2.Find the file called Suc_uninstaller.Exe.

3. Rename it to 'unistaller.exe'

This should help.

You should use the normal add/remove programs option provided in the control panel to carry out normal un-installation of files.

Here is the shortcut to go there:

1.Click on start button and open Run(Windows XP or 2003) or you will see the search box at the bottom(Win7 / Vista).

2.Type in "appwiz.cpl" and hit Enter key.

3. The 'Add or Remove Programs' dialog box should open up.

4.Select the program you want to uninstall and click on remove/uninstall option that appears after you select the program.

The default Windows un-installer will completely un-install the program and remove all registry changes made by the program.
