Confusion about the practical purpose of iTunes Match

Hello all,

I’m a bit confused about a simple thing. I am pretty sure most of you know about it. It may be stupid to ask; still, your help can hopefully relive my confusion. For music, I have a Mac, iPad, and iPhones containing my desired tracks. That said, what is the actual purpose of a Match?

I know that it amplifies the bit rates, but is there anything else to it, apart from that? Most of us want to download or take music from iCloud. Why it is preferred to do so, as opposed to moving those in the Mac or iPhone? Hope to get your help.

Thanks.

Playing your favorite music without the need to upload them from your music library or using an internet browser is the service of iTunes Match developed by Apple. iTunes scans the music in your library. Apple will then tell you that you got a copy of it. You can now have access to their selection.

God news is that you can get a high quality of music even though it comes from a file that is of low quality. With this, you will have all your music synchronized and backed up and your access to a music files with a high bit rate. Another benefit is that even your favorite movies and TV shows can be rewatched anytime you want it.

You can also stream your songs to any device. You can select those songs that you want to play and store them in your device without taking up storage space.

That’s streaming!

Hi,

Multiple Apple device owners like you gets the most benefits of this new service. The difference between manually transferring your music and Match is simple : convenience.

Seamless access is another purpose of this service. Through iCloud, you can listen to whatever music you have in your iTunes that is stored in your iCloud.

Keep in mind, to do this, you need an Internet connection. There’s also a limit of 10 Apple devices per Match and only works with iOS5 and above, which is the same limitation of the iCloud. This will cost you 24.99 USD a year for a subscription.
