I have been playing the Close Combat game. It actually contains a series of games that I love. For the last 2 days, it has been displaying an error as shown in the image below. Reinstalling the package has not helped yet. Now am wondering what to do next. Please help.

When playing, you found the error message. In the starting, the game would show you some clips, which would be some files in certain directory.
Somehow, either those are deleted or corrupted so that they are inaccessible and showing this error.
According to the error message, you should try re-installing the game. Download the latest version of your game.
As you have said that re-installing didn’t work, your setup file is corrupted.
As there is several series of this game, I am not sure what series you are playing. Search on the web and you will surely find yours. Then, uninstall the game using any good uninstaller such as WPU. It is a good one. It will make your PC completely free from the problematic one. Then install the fresh one you have downloaded from the web.

I found one person who has the same problem but unfortunately, it didn’t say any concrete solution to this. In fact, the question is hanging. Anyway, try this workaround. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select your “Close Combat” game among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process.
When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer.
