Both are from Angry Birds series. There are little bit differences between them.

In Angry Birds, the classic story of conflict between birds and pigs happen where pigs steal birds’ eggs and birds chase them to recover their eggs.

In Angry Birds Friends, the only difference is, it’s an almost online game. You’ll need internet connection to play Angry Birds Friends.

These games are on Android platform and Android apps can be developed using Java and C++ via Google’s Android SDK and NDK.
