I always enjoyed eating while watching movies on my laptop. But, through the years food accumulated under the keyboard. Unlike my desktop's keyboard which is light and can easily be turned over at most often i just gave it taps on its back then they came clean, my laptop is quite heavy and im afraid if i give it taps it will break. Any suggestions?

Hi,

The best option is never do that again. It is funny but it could be very cost full if you dropped water or liquid type of food on laptop keyboard or anywhere on the laptop.

My suggestion is use some kind of smooth little brash tool to remove food from laptop keyboard. Do not turn it on other side or do not hit it with any kind of tools or hands. It will damage your LCD monitor.

Other option is to use some wiped cloth and wash food from there. If you already tried it then do not try again. This option is just for one time. Use brush tool then.

Dear User,

You are absolutely right which you did for your desktop. But this process is not applicable for Laptop. For Laptop please collect one vacuum cleaner. This cleaner will take out all dust and small items of food from inside of Key. After that please collect small and slim paint brush. After use vacuum cleaner if there is any other thing stay inside then use this brush you can take outside.

Only this two process you can clean your keyboard.

Hope you understand and will apply this with your laptop. If this tips will help your to clean your keyboard then please reply this post with thanks to Techyv team.

Cheers.

A laptop's keyboard should have more tightly spaced gaps between each letter and foreign objects bigger than dusts should not have that much ease in getting through. However, if you are certain that there are food crumbs in the keyboard and you like to take them out, try and check your computer's manual and see if the keyboard is a customer serviceable unit. If it is then you can safely remove it, following the manual's instructions clearly and diligently, and have a light tap at the back of it to take the crumbs out. Just remember though to avoid having that happen again since foreign objects may damage not just the keyboard but other computer parts as well.
