Hello experts,

Recently I got a weird problem. Western Digital requests to pay a charge for missing data on fresh hard disk.

Western Digital is asking for £350 as well as VAT to get back data. Now what should I do?

Need a solution.

Thanks a lot

Hi,

If you have a valid warranty period for your hard disk you should contact with your hard disk provider for warranty service to fix the issue.

But if your warranty period is finished then you can try some recovery software such as EASUS recovery premium yourself or take your hard disk to the service center. If you are not so efficient with fixing hardware you should not try to fix it by yourself because it may cause permanent damage to your device.

Or there may be some kind of virus on your hard disk which has affected the data and showing error message. In that case you should try to scan your hard disk with antivirus software. You can also mail to the customer support of Western Digital for their suggestion through their website.

Best of luck.
