Hello,

I was having issues with getting my PhotoSmart 309g to work with Snow Leopard. I wanted to uninstall this software and try again, but I am unable to do so because of an error. I cannot proceed with uninstall due to a missing uninstaller plugin. What is causing this error? Can these missing plugins be replaced somehow? Or can you suggest a work around for this issue that would enable me to uninstall the software without these plugins? Please help me out. Thanking everyone for spending their valuable time on this issue. Regards

Cannot uninstall HP software due to HP Uninstaller Plugin not found error

I don’t see the reason why you cannot uninstall the application on your Mac computer though uninstalling an application in Mac OS X is totally different from Microsoft Windows. When you want to uninstall or remove a program in a Mac PC, you don’t have to run the built-in uninstall program just to remove it from your machine.

You can simply delete or trash the entire folder of the application to uninstall it. While in Microsoft Windows it is different and this method of removing a program is unacceptable. In Microsoft Windows, you cannot just trash a program to remove it and it will only worsen the problem. You have to run the built-in uninstaller to properly remove the application or use the Add or Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel to uninstall it.

In your case, you don’t have to worry about the missing plug-in so you can uninstall it. Just delete the entire installation folder of Photosmart and it will be uninstalled from your computer. If the program doesn’t work after installing it, maybe it is not compatible with your operating system or you missed installing some required components.

Since I think you didn’t check its system requirements, here it is. For HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One Printer C309g, for Mac users, it requires Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, 10.5 Leopard, 10.6 Snow Leopard, and 10.7 Lion. So here, check if your operating system is among the ones mentioned. If not, upgrade your operating system if you are using an older platform.
