Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Errors have been detected in the file C:Documents and SettingsHP_AdministratorLocal SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlookOutlook.pst. Quit Outlook and all mail enabled applications, and then use the inbox repair too (Scanst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file. For more information go to the inbox repair tool, see Help

As suggested in error report use repair tool which is made to diagnose and repair Outlook problems. If that doesn't help reinstalling is always a better option because then you'll get fresh files which are not corrupted. Also you can contact Microsoft and they will help you better than anyone else.

I hope I helped you.

Hi there Dominic D Beaton,

When the navigation pane setting got corrupted this problem occurs. So to solve this problem follows these steps:

Step 1 Go to start > Click Run.

Step 2 Type “Outlook.exe /resetnavpane” and hit enter (without inverted comma).

Step 3 Click ok.

Note You should type as same as given in step 2.

Best of luck.

Taylor B Campos.

Thank You.
