Hello.
When I try to open an OS file and extract it in zip folder, I get the error below:
"Packed data CRC failed in volume name. The volume is corrupt"!
The error above may also be showed along with this message:
“CRC failed in file name”
Please help me guys. Thanks a lot.
Cannot open OS file because of error
Howdy Lancelot.
This message will occur together with the message "CRC failed in file name. The file is corrupt" and may help to detect exactly which volume is corrupt. If a big file is split between a few volumes and only one volume has been damaged after archive creation. Depending on corrupt archive details, RAR may display or skip this message. The message "CRC failed in file name. The file is corrupt" is always displayed if the file Data is damaged.Check to see if you have installed the recent version. If not, update it. Check to see if you have got the recent version. You need the latest version; you know WinRAR has fixed their bugs every time they move onto a new version.
And you need to find which file has been damaged after archiving. However, this might not easy to do. Just update your WinRAR. This will be fine.
