Hi Brainy,

I know the source of the problem but not able to fix it, anyone can help me. I have a CD which is slightly damaged; I copied some files from it but still some files left behind. I get this error message ‘cannot copy freedom: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)’ then the process is aborted without any option. Is there any other way to copy files from damaged CD. Please help.

Cyclic redundancy checks are common error received by individuals while trying to copy/read data from a bad or damaged disk. There is no standard process to recover data from a damaged disk.
