Surprisingly yes,you can earn money by uploading photos online. There are many sites which pay per "X" views or likes attained by your pic like "Shareapic.com". Caution: Be careful with this site as it is recently has received a lot of complaints regarding payments.
While on the other hand there are quite a few sites which use your pics uploaded to them for their own commercial purposes and give you some royalty in the form of credits ranging from 20%. You can encash these credits later after they cross a permissible amount through PayPal.
