Hello fellow members.  I'm trying to decompress files in RAR format but I encountered a CRC corrupted error.  Can RAR Recovery Toolbox recover information from the corrupted archive without losing compressed data?  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance guys.

RAR Recovery Toolbox can recover information from the corrupted archive without loosing the compressed data. This tool can open files that are not accessible easily and it does not modifying any corrupt documents. It most often than not also matter the kind of application used to make the archive. You can visit the recovery toolbox for more information.

Greetings,

I see you ran into a corrupted compressed file, just like everybody else. Fortunately, there's a good chance we can still make good use of the file. First, we can try to repair the file/s using the built-in repair function in WinRar. Launch Winrar, at the top menu, the rightmost is a Repair button.

If this didn't fix the problem, we move on to the next option. Although this option only works on Audio / Video files. For this method, we are going to need Media Player Classic. Begin extracting the corrupted zip/rar file. After sometime in the process, say 3 seconds – 5 seconds, pause it. Go to the folder where the file is being extracted to, you should see the audio/video file. Play the file using Media Player Classic and pause it as soon as it starts to play. Switch back to the paused Winrar window and resume the extraction process and let it complete, ignoring all error message that comes up. Going back to the specified folder, you'll find the audio/video file.

You might be wondering, what if the corrupted file is not an audio/video file, or the methods above didn't work. Then we resort to third party software for the job. We can always rely on RAR FixToolbox and RAR RepairToolbox.
