Hi,
When students are not settled with Read as well as Write access to the directories to where the software was set up, they cannot save their work. So, please confirm that each and every Merit Software folders as well as sub-folders permit students to have both the Read and Write access.

Good Day Ms. Hill upon Reading your problem I should conclude that the software is not the one that causing your problem. I think the real reason of having read and write access is in the Computers Account. Maybe they are log in as Guest or a user that has no privilege in reading and writing some files and folders. If that so you should contact your IT to set the account to put some permission so your students can read and modify the files that they need.

This is a case of not having privileges. Usually Students got to have read and execute access to the merit AV folders and read and write files access to record files directory. But in your case, I suggest you to troubleshoot this with your Teacher.
