Windows XP ISO download I can't install the core windows XP ISO download without its CD or hard drive. My question is, can I install core windows XP ISO download from USB? Because all I want to do now is to download the windows in the internet and copy it on my USB. Since I am using a net book, I can't use any CD's.

Greetings Graceeliz!

Thank you for asking questions here in techyv.com. About your problem you will need a software called WinToFlash. This software is used to make your USB bootable and put the Windows OS into your USB (any Windows OS). Here is the site to download WinToFlash and to learn more about how to use this software. http://wintoflash.com/home/en/. I hope this will help solve your problem.

Thanks.

Installing Windows from a USB key is much more complicated than using a CD or DVD but there is a setup tool developed for that, WinToFlash is that tool that allows you to install Windows from your USB key

First you need to download the tool and store on your computer.

Next you double click on it to run WinToFlash then you now follow the steps below:

1. Keep on clicking on next to install WinToFlash; make sure you check the box that says you agree to the EULA.

2. Click on the big check box to start the wizard.

3. Make sure you have copied you windows into the USB key and it is inserted into the computer.

4. Select the appropriate drive and then click on next.

5. Accept the license agreement and then click on next.

6. When the progress bar gets to the end and the word Finish appears click on next and then the exit button To end the program.

7. Now to boot from the key you will need to turn off your computer using the power button and the turn it on but first plug in the USB key.

8. When the computer starts pressing on F2 or F10 to change the boot device from hard drive to USB drive.

9. You can now save changes and exit.

Windows will now boot from your USB key.
