Hello Arnel,

BSOD or Blue Screen of Death gives you so much trouble especially if you’re working on some important files and it appears unexpectedly. If this persists, you need to fix it as soon as you can because it may harm your computer. It has 5 common causes and these are as follows:

1. The drivers of your devices were broken that needs to be fixed.

2. The hardware itself is going through an error or not working properly which is usually caused by outdated information.

3. Your Operating System may not be properly installed and was facing errors throughout installation.

4. Hardware or software and file corruption during startup that can be fixed by troubleshooting.

5. You’ve been facing different errors recently.

Good Luck!

Regards,

Mali

The Blue Screen of Death or BSOD as what they term it is not actually that scary that is, if you really know your computer and the devices installed onto it. This is for advanced users I mean. But if you are just an ordinary user who hasn’t encountered it yet, it would be scary since your screen is now full of texts as if your computer really broke down. This usually happens because of a conflict in the system and is triggered in the Startup and Recovery option in the System Properties of your computer.

Normally, the Blue Screen of Death phenomenon only happens when the option “Automatically restart” is unchecked or disabled. You can see this option by right-clicking My Computer then selecting Properties. Go to Advanced tab, in Startup and Recovery click Settings. You will see “Automatically restart” under “System failure”. If this option is checked, Windows will normally do a sudden restart in case it detects an error in the system and if this happens the Blue Screen of Death will not appear. But if you uncheck this option and the system detects an error, Windows will not restart but instead will display the Blue Screen of Death.

Every time this happens on your computer, forcibly shutdown your computer by continuously pressing on the power button of the CPU until it turns off. Wait about 15 to 20 seconds before turning it on again and see if it happens again. If it happens again and it doesn’t happen before, uninstall the last application you installed. Or if you added a new device on your CPU, uninstall its driver and then remove the actual device from the CPU and then see if your machine will start fine.
