Hi mates,

I have a BlackBerry set, Model Torch 9800. I need to upgrade its software just as my boss did 🙂

However when I start the upgrade, an error occurs. It says simply Error 507. Here is the picture of the error.

I really need to upgrade my software, I have heard my colleagues that it works better.

If somebody has the solution for this problem, please share it with others.

BR,

Matti

Hi,

There can be one of the 2 possible causes for this error.

1. The power management feature on the computer turned off the USB Ports

or

2. You are using a docking station with your laptop where the Smartphone is connected

Solution for 1 :

Please modify the Power management settings. May be turn it to Always on.

Solution for 2:

Remove the docking station and plug the USB cable directly into one of the USB port

This is the common error in BlackBerry, and it also painful error for user. However, there are some ways have to solve this problem.

First, you just loaded up your set and you see some unexpected error along with 507 in your blank white screen with logo which logo you posted in techyv.com. Its mean your set cannot find an actual OS, it’s happen during the OS upgrade.

Before the start fixing your problem you should download the latest official OS and BlackBerry Desktop Software.

After complete your download, just follow my steps:

1. Open the program Files>Common Files> Research in Motion> AppLoader form here you just delete the vendor.xml file. Do not delete another file, remember it.

2. Now, find the AppLoader.exe, you can find it from Program Files>Common Files> Research in Motion>AppLoader.exe.

3. After find AppLoader.exe, then you just connect your device (BlackBerry set) to your computer and run AppLoader.exe to reinstall the OS in your Device.

If you failed to do that then follow my below instructions.

a. Remove your battery form your mobile.

b. Connect your Mobile with you computer via USB.

c. Run your BlackBerry Desktop Software (which you downloaded) and go to the Options then choose Connection Options.

d. From connection options menu choose USB pin from connection type.

e. Here you need to open Application Loader and select OS software which OS you want to install in your mobile.

f. Now you see a screen where it will ask you “if you want to automatically backup and restore. Please do not click on this option.

g. Re-enter your battery before the installation process finished, remember it.

If you get same error again then please visit this site.

Thank You.
