Hi!

This problem may result of an installation of backward Blackberry Server. In the blackberry registry you may find below files.

1.    ConfigAfterReboot
2.    ConfigFirstRun

For the previous server bundle if you are not deleting that from the registry this problem might raise.

To delete the above files you can follow the instructions which I have given below.

First take a backup of the registry, because if any case you can copy it to the system again and find the place in your Operating system,

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREResearch In MotionBlackBerry Enterprise ServerSetup.

And then delete the files have mentioned above. And try to install again.

1) Try to find the log file.

2) Reboot the Server and retry the upgrade process.

3) Try to change the different ID to perform the installation.

4) Try to uninstall the BES Application from add/remove program.

This error seems to be like a problem with compatibility. Before installing BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0, make sure your computer meets the requirements. BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 supports Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2003 R2 Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1, and Windows Server 2012.

For the hardware requirements of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0, it depends on the number of users the server will be supporting. For more information, visit Hardware Requirements of BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0. Since this application is designed for a server, you need to install it on a Windows Server operating system.
