Hi,

My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1525 and is installed with Windows 7. When I start the free edition of AVG 2012 I receive an “unspecified error” message with the option of choosing “Yes” or “No”. The program is disabled for a few seconds followed by the message reappearing on the screen when I select the “Yes” option. Alternatively, the message reappears straight away when I click the “No” button.

How can I solve this problem?  I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

This problem might be solving by performing updates. Just update the current AVG that you are using. You can download updates AVG | Antivirus and Internet Security | Virus Protection

If error still not solved, you may try to contact avg support for this, and you can upload dump files to their FTP Server. The dump files can be found to this location of your computer. C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataAVG2012Dumps

If still error and they cannot solve the problem, you may try to use other anti virus like AVAST. It is also free, and good for malware and many viruses that will destroy your computer. Hope this helped.
