Hi,

You can solve the problem by two ways:

First of all, by repairing the Anti Virus. To repair the program, do the following:

Go to Start > Control Panel> Uninstall a Program> select avast! Anti Virus> Click Change/Uninstall> repair> click OK.

If it doesn't work, uninstall the program and update.

I think your problem will be solved.

Thanks

Hathy

Hi,

It seems that your anti virus program's engine has itself been attacked by some kind of virus. This is only possible when the File system engine of your avast virus program was de-activated, probably for a while. This might have also occured if you didn't had the latest version of the avast antivirus program.

It is best recommended to re-install this software all over again.

First, you need to un-install the software. Go to Control Panel -> Add or Remove a program. Select avast antivirus and uninstall the program.

Then, go to avast's official website, and download the latest version of the avast program. Once downloaded, follow the on-screen instructions and install it. Once done, it should work fine for you.

Official website of avast : https://www.avast.com/en-in/index

Hope this helps!

If your antivirus starts showing “Module is not running” and the program appears disabled in the system tray, the main reason is your subscription. This normally happens when your subscription has expired. There’s no way to fix it other than renewing your subscription. Uninstalling and reinstalling the program will not work.

If you are using Avast antivirus and you see this error, try checking if your subscription is still valid. If your subscription has expired, you simply need to renew it to make the program running again. If you are using the free trial, it means the trial period is over or you reach the end of the trial period. Try downloading the free version of Avast Antivirus.

The latest Avast antivirus supports Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. It requires 1 GB RAM and 2 GB free space. Windows XP and Windows Vista are no longer supported.
