Avast error while updating my database in Fedora 14

Hi Experts,

I received an error message while updating my database in Fedora 14. The message says

An error occurred in Avast! Engine: Invalid argument.

What kind of error is it?

Can I get the problem solved by Avast?

Please help me to get a remedy of this issue.

Hallo Joby,

To resolve that issue, you will need to do the following:

You will need to go to the Terminal and then type: sudo gedit /etc/sysctl.conf
That should open up sysctl.conf as the root, and after that you will make and then save changes to the file sysctl.conf.
Once the file sysctl.conf is open, you will need to add the following line to it at the end: kernel.shmmax = 128000000
Reboot your computer after that.
