Hi Frank,

As you are using Linux, Ubuntu has default CD Ripping program called SoundJuicer (See below image) which can rip even .m4a file formats on CD. This application appears as “Audio CD Extractor” instead of SoundJuicer.

However, if you are not able to find it you can also use another CD rapper program called XBFA which can rip .m4a file on CD on Linux OS.
