I have been going through and updating our engineers to 2012 LT and have run into a problem with one of our engineers. After rebooting the machine, AutoCAD 2012 LT works perfectly for a brief time, maybe an hour or two. Then if you close AutoCAD and try to open again after this period, you get the following .

AutoCAD LT Error Aborting

There is a problem with the installation and AutoCAD LT cannot continue.

This error may occur if the registry software has removed or altered keys that are required to run AutoCAD LT.

To restore the required registry keys, you will need to reinstall AutoCAD LT using the Add/Remove Program functionality in the Windows Control Panel.

This error occurs due to missing some file. Your error is “AutoCAD 2012 for Mac is looking for files in /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/local/AutoCAD 212/R18.2/enu”.

Here is a very easy solution to fix it. You only have to follow the steps this will helps you to resolve your problem.

You just have to download the “Autodesk” and extract the folder into /users/YOUR-USERNAME/Library.

I Hope so your problem will be disappearing.

Hi,

This can be occurred when registry keys which is required to run AutoCAD, have been misplaced or deleted. You can restore these registry keys by reinstalling the AutoCAD software. Before do this, you have to uninstall the AutoCAD completely.

1.       First go to the Add or Remove in the Control panel and uninstall the software.

2.       Then you need to delete remaining files of the AutoCAD software.

Please go to following paths and delete the folder that I mentioned below.

     For Windows 7 and Vista

C:Users your user name AppData Roaming Autodesk

C:Users your user name AppData Local Autodesk

     C: ProgramData Autodesk

      For Windows XP

C: Document and Settings your user name Application Data Autodesk

C: Document and Settings your user name Local Settings Application Data Autodesk

C: Document and Settings All Users Application Data Autodesk

Note: Windows 7 or Vista operating systems might not be showed above folders. If it happens please copy above paths and paste it into the Windows Explorer address bar.

3.       After that you have to delete remaining autodesk entries from the windows registry. To do that click Start > In the Search box type regedit and press Enter.

4.       Locate the following registry folders in the registry editor.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Autodesk

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Software Autodesk

5.       Delete these folders and restart the computer

6.       Go to Windows Temp folder and delete all the contents in it.

7.       Then install the AutoCAD software.
