AutoCAD 2012 Install Failure, please help!

Hi all,

Will DirectX11 and AutoCad ´12 work together or compatible? Because it seems that I am having problems. I have attempted to reinstall them, installing them in different orders and using a visual´10 pack.  AutoCad just won´t install runtime for some reason.  Any help is appreciated.  Below is the problem.

Hi,

Base on the error log, it ignores the DirectX Failed "installation" or something. It has really nothing to do with the DirectX since I am able to install AutoCad 2012 on my laptop that has a directx built in. Have you tried to run as administrator the autocad setup? And make sure to turn off you UAC and anti-virus when installing AutoCad 2012.
On another note, looking thoroughly on your error log, there is some issues on your installation, you have to make sure that you are running the version compatible to your operating system. If your OS is a 32-bit you should install the 32-bit, for 64-bit of Autocad you should have a 64-bit OS.

Hi,

DirectX 11.1 is not being included in old versions. Hence, you need to get the latest version of the Windows. If you have the windows 8, then in that case you will find some problem. You will find DirectX11.1 online and you can download it from there. You can download DirectX Run time web installer. This will insure the DirectX component. Then you can run the AutoCAD 2012. Hope this solution works for you.
