My computer always stops responding frequently. I have tried removing and re-attaching devices like RAM, Video and Hard Drive. I also remove and re-attached the battery of the Motherboard and the computer is working normally for 1-2 days then after that, the computer has return to frequently stop responding. I have an AsRock P4VM800. I also tried replacing the battery of the said motherboard. The result is the same with the first battery. I also re install my operating system from scratch but still problem has not been resolved.

What other possibilities that causes these problem?

Hey,

Your AsRock P4VM800 Socket 478 motherboard supports maximum FSB up to 800 MHz which is the lowest requirement to run today’s modern applications. You have mentioned you have done everything possible to check the reason for not responding. May be if your power supply unit is old it is not giving the required voltage to the system to cause the malfunctioning. Replace with a new original power supply unit and see what happens. Also try to reset the BIOS by clearing off CMOS. May be the BIOS chips has been corrupted. It’s better if you can do bios update because it is necessary to modify your system to current hardware requirement and features. Please be careful when updating BIOS, not to interrupt the process whether what happens. Otherwise the period of your motherboard has ended and you need to switch to a latest one.

There may be some reasons that are producing problems in your computer to solve such problem you can work around these points.

First of all check the BIOS of your computer and make them up to date. If they are not working properly then you need to buy a new one. BIOS describes the functions of all the components in case the CPU they are responsible for different task such as Fan speed and other related tasks so in your case it looks like some BOIS error. So you can update them or either you can replace them. Also you can check the reset button for BIOS and can reset them as per your requirements.

The other thing to check is that you have configured all the devices perfectly and there is no such error in all of your devices. Do you hear any beep from your computer if you then problem is in your Motherboard.

The third thing to check is your VGA card it is used for graphic interference and if you are running some kind of videos then this card is responsible for such purpose. the cause may be of over heating of your VGA card that's why your computer shutdown automatically.

The final thing is to check the power supply and the cords that are attached to your computer and make them error free. Going through these steps will solve your problem.
