Symantec endpoint protection or SEP 12 is one of the most effective and reliable security solutions for the systems or servers in a network. It comes with sufficient virus protection along with advanced and reliable threat protection to secure computers against any known and unknown threats.

Along with traditional scanning and intrusion prevention, it provides communication intelligence to all the systems in its network.

SEP 12 can be installed over windows server class systems, windows 7 32bit and 64bit systems, MAC OX 10.5 or higher and all Linux systems. The installation and implementation along with deployment are pretty much simple. The UI is quite decent and user-friendly. The overall client provides us with anti-virus, firewall, intrusion prevention and device control. It comes with a basic set of rules and policies. Policies can be added or edited by the admins from the UI menu. The admins can precisely decide for what to be scanned. Gives a granular control to the admin. It also comes with an efficient firewall with a number of built-in rules which are simple to configure. The firewall also has a stealth mode for anti-finger printing endpoints.

The SEP 12 blocks and protects your machine from any new and unknown threats missed by a traditional security solution. With SEP 12 you can you can increase virtual density and decrease the load on the disk farm by whitelisting images and also maintain a local cache of scanned files shared across VM.

Overall it is a must have security solution for all your systems!
