Applying an IBM Lotus Notes Fix Pack to an administrative server image

Greetings Deplorers,

Does anyone have experience applying an IBM Lotus Notes Fix Pack to an administrative server image or administrative installation point? After I unpack the fixpack.exe, I'm left with a ClientUpdate.msi, setup.exe, deploy, Prodder and zip folder. I expect to find a .map to patch the administrative installation point.

Please tell your views.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I faced the same problem a few months ago. This is how i fixed it:

1. Firstly, uninstall Lotus notes completely from your computer. Check whether there are any files related to Lotus which have not been removed during the uninstall.

2. Now download Lotus Notes 8.5.3 fix pack 1. You can download it here —http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24032242.

3. Save the file to your desktop. When download completes, install the software.

4. Now restart your system.

Now try applying the fix pack to administrative server image or administrative installation point. You will find the .map file.

Hi,

This does means that you do not have the right pack. Contact the vendor from where you have found this pack. Get it replaced. Try to reinstall with the new pack. Check if the .map file is there or not. Confirm its presence. Hope this will solve your problem.
