Hi Pro,

I recently re-formatted the drive and I have Mac OS X operating system. After formatting I re-installed most of the programs and applications. But the thunderbird alone crashed while I opened. I got the crash report message saying ‘unfortunately the crash reporter is unable to submit a report….’ How to solve this error? Please help.

If you are using Thunderbird from Mozilla, make sure you are using the supported version for your operating system. For Mac users, the latest version Thunderbird 24.3.0 supports Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion, and 10.9 Mavericks. For Windows users, Thunderbird 24.3.0 supports Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, and x86 or x64 versions of Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.

Thunderbird 24.3.0 also works on Linux. To download the latest version, visit Download Thunderbird 24.3.0. To fix your problem, you should meet all the requirements for Thunderbird to work. You can either upgrade or downgrade your operating system whichever you choose. In case you are using the right version and the problem still persists, try reinstalling it and then update your operating system.

But before updating Mac OS X, Thunderbird should already be installed. To update, click on the Apple menu and select Software Update. In case you are prompted, enter your administrator username and password to continue. Install the updates and restart your computer.
