Hello experts,

I purchased a new Kingston 8GB memory card. However, when I turned on my cell phone, it keeps on rebooting. It will show the logo screen and then no more. I have partitioned my SD card through an adapter on my computer. Any idea why this issue occurs?

Hi Matthew,

If the cell phone is not responding if you use the external SD card, you can master reset using the hardware buttons. In order to do a master reset you can follow these recommended steps:

  1. First of all you need to perform a backup all the useful data and then synchronize the files.
  2. Kindly unplug the phone if it's plugged into a charger or via USB cable.
  3. Gently remove the battery from the cell phone. Remember it is very necessary to remove the battery. It is a must.
  4. Now after few seconds re-insert the battery.
  5. Kindly press and hold the Volume Down and the Power Key together and keep on pressing the keys for 4-5 seconds and without releasing the keys continue to the next step.
  6. If the three Android images show up at the bottom of the screen, first release the Power key , and then the Volume Down key. It will display the following: 1. FASTBOOT 2. RECOVERY 3. CLEAR STORAGE 4. SIMLOCK

       7. Select the Volume Down key twice and choose CLEAR STORAGE.

       8. Next please press the Power key in order to initiate the master reset.

       9. Thirdly Press the Volume Up key in order to confirm Delete all user data.

     10. Please let the device restart
