Hi,

To get rid of the problem, please do the following:

1. Right-click on the Shortcut for your host.

2. Select 'Run as Administrator…'.

3. Click 'Yes' to bypass the Windows UAC.

4. Create an instance of the Alchemy Player.

5. Quit your host.

Now Alchemy Player needs the required permission to modify the configuration file and once it is done means everything should be alright.

Thanks for asking.

Hathy

If you change or upgrade your operating system, this must be what caused the problem. Alchemy Player supports Microsoft Windows XP only. If you upgraded your operating system to Windows Vista or Windows 7, the program will no longer work because it is not compatible with the platform. One workaround is to run the application in compatibility mode for Windows XP.

If you successfully installed the program, right-click Alchemy Player and select “Properties”. In the “Properties” dialog, go to “Compatibility” tab then under “Compatibility mode” section, check “Run this program in compatibility mode for”. From the dropdown list, select “Windows XP”. Click “OK” then run the program. See if it works. To download the program again, go to Alchemy Player and download it.
