I recently downloaded Adobe Flash 10.01 on my computer but I am having problems installing it. It shows an error 5 when I try to run the setup. Did I download the correct file? Did I miss something in order to install this program? I am looking forward to your replies. Big thanks!

You tell that you can’t setup your adobe flash 10. Try to resetup by clicking setup.exe. If that does not work, download a fresh copy from internet. Sometime some file will miss during download. After download fresh copy. Now install it. You will easily install it. You will not face the problem again. Thank you.

Hi Edward,

Error 5 is a configurational error. Here is what you need to do.

  • You need to remove every Adobe software from your computer. You can do this by going into Control Panel -> Add or Remove Program. Select every Adobe product you can see, and click uninstall.
  • Next you need a CS5 clean tool to clean your system. Download this from the link given below and select "Clean All".
  • Once done, you need to delete the following folders.
– C:Program Files (x86)Adobe
– C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAdobe
– C:Users<myusername>AppDataLocalAdobe
  • Now you need to restart your computer.
  • After your computer has restarted, you can then try installing the adobe products. This should work fine then.

Hope this helps!
