ActiveX Component Throws 800a01ad Error

The ASP code generate an 800a01ad error code that occurs when the ActiveX component can’t create the object. The cause of error 800a01ad is the VBScript that contains an illegal method, probably a typing mistake or an extra error. the steps to resolve the error code are as follows:

Step 1: Install MDAC 2.x application.

Step 2: Register \program files\common files\System\MSADO15.dll with RegSvr32.

Step 3: Make sure that IUSR_<Server>AND IWAN_<Server> accounts both have Read/Execute NTFS rights on the following folders:
-\program files\common files\System
-\Winnt
-\netPub\WWWRoot

Step 4: Open Console and check the valid IP Address in “Default Web Site” properties.

Step 5: Reboot the server.
