I would like to know how to reinstall and activate Windows Vista again in a new hard disk as the first hard disk was damaged.

Can Windows Vista be activated only one time or can it be activated in a new hard disk again, using back up and restore?

Hi,

There are ways to activate your Windows after installing a new hard drive. This is by using Online activation and or by Phone (calling Microsoft).

By online activation:

  • Click Start Button, then look for Start Search;
  • On the Start Search box, type slow. exe4 then press enter;
  • You may need to select your Country;
  • Installation Wizard will guide you through, follow the instructions;

By Phone activation:

This is you, calling Microsoft Department to activate your Windows;

Activation by Volume License Keys 716- 871-2781;
You may also call 888-352-7140;
For International users: Microsoft Activation for existing users

These are the ways to activate your Windows.

You may Install Windows Vista on your new hard disk (HDD) but you can't restore your backup files on your new Hard disk unless you have a backup on one of the following:

  • Flash Drive
  • CD/DVD disk
  • External Hard drive

Steps Installing Windows Vista – You may download the complete print screen of these here.

(Incomplete for other's solution).
