When I right-click a grammar error (an error marked with a wavy underline), why doesn't the shortcut menu display the same options that are available in the Spelling and Grammar dialog box?

Hi!

MS Word is very versatile functioning word processor provides numerous options for word processing and data handling. It is basically built on American English and indicates the spellings and grammar suggestion accordingly.

Generally a wavy line indicates a mistake caused due to spelling and grammar. In general a mistake occurred due to the wrong spacing of the characters is also considered as a grammatical mistake, that is why MS Word distinguishes it from spelling mistakes.

Hope it answers your question.

Hello Aziz,

I double checked your problem in my Microsoft Word 2007. It's working fine with me. The options it displays while right clicking on them are same when i click the shortcut button. I think your Microsoft Word is having some technical issues. Kindly verify that is it either turned on or not. You can do this by following the simple step:

Go to Tool menu -> click Spelling and Grammar Tab -> select the check box 'Check Grammar as you type'

Also check your Grammar settings registry for windows. Update it.

This might help you
