Apple Software

Do users need to install Antivirus software on their MacBook and iPhone. How has Apple managed to vanquish the viruses? If Linux and Apple can, then why Windows isn't trying to end the problem of viruses? Is there anything which I can do for MS so that no viruses will be detected in the coming days?

I have a Mac with OS X Lion.  I am working on setting up my iCloud account after creation of my Apple account.  In researching iCloud, it seems this is a tool I absolutely want to have, but I cannot seem to understand what all will be connected for me?  For example, I have an iPhone and a Mac.  Will I be able to access my Mac applications on my iPhone with iCloud?  Will I be able to back up my Mac or iPhone with iCloud in the event I lose information?  Thank you for your assistance.

It is said that Apple provided several features like iCloud Drive and iCloud Photo to the users along with the release iOS 8. But these features may not be fully released till date. Especially iCloud Photo is still in beta testing phase till date and yet to be released to public. Even though it was introduced with iOS 8 it was not even released with iOS 8.1. Are deep organizational issues with Apple complicating its products?
