On February 13, 2012, Monday, HP advertised that its next computer network system would be the Gen8 Family of Servers.  What is interesting about this is that this advertisement came before the official advertisement of Intel regarding the supporting E5 server CPUs, which means that HP would say nothing about the Central Processing Unit or the operation of those systems. 

Even though the data of the CPU was accessible, it was going to be a show on the side as far as the principal drive of the Gen8 project was concerned — thereby making the overall TCO (specially Opex) better by turning them into more automatic servers which can be more controllable and faster to repair whenever an issue arises, together with the possibility to keep, with data center infrastructure management (DCM) abilities, and also a basic modification regarding how services and help are conveyed.
