The gaming line of HP’s tech called “Omen” just got a few updates and upgrades. What was it? A new IPS monitor and two new game desktops. Moreover, Command Center was rebuilt and the logo was redesigned as well.
New HP’s computers are enough powerful to handle all modern games on the highest video settings, including the freshest and loudest release – Valorant. Riot Games did an amazing job – game’s fan base rising quickly, the number of players who check their Valorant stats raising too.
Desktops
Now let’s talk about other features – PCs: Omen 25L (cheaper) and Omen 30L(more expensive). They look pretty smooth, minimalistic, and colorful LED-lights. Let’s mention their specs now:
For the cheapest one:
• AMD Ryzen 7 CPU
• RX 5700 GPU
• 16Gb RAM (with a possibility to add 16Gb more)
• 512Gb SSD and 1Tb HDD
For the most expensive one:
• The same processor (not confirmed information, because on the published photos it looked water-cooled)
• RTX 2060 GPU
• The same
• The same
We doubt that the RTX card and the more beautiful case will make it cost 300 USD. All these specs are rumors, which cannot be 100% confirmed right now, because all “Buy now” buttons still lead us to the old Omen desktops. These PCs will be shipped out tomorrow, so probably tomorrow the information will be updated. If it happens, we will update specs in our article as well.
The confirmed information we know for today is about their software and equipment. Both PCs will have Win10 installed. Both models will have the same external In/Outports. As a gift, you will get a wired mouse and keyboard.
New Logo
In our opinion, all these new features people will be glad to see, except for the logo. The old one looked like a mask – it was unique and cool, but the new one looks way too minimalistic and simple.
The new updated logo has the same shape (like a diamond), a white text “Omen” in the center, and a bright colorful background (with colors smoothly switching red to yellow). Some people loved the changes, but others think that the uniqueness of the logo was killed with re-design. Simultaneously, the company itself loves a new design. Its representatives are sure that gamers all over the world will love a new style.
IPS Monitor
Also, HP announced a new IPS monitor designed especially for gamers, called Omen 27i (first HP monitor for gamers, by the way).
Specifications:
• G-Sync support
• 27-inches
• 2560×1440 res.
• R. Time – 1ms
The picture’s quality is magnificent and the design is pretty modern. This monitor can be bought just for 500 USD, which is cheap (many monitors with the same specifications are much more expensive).
When can you buy the tech, mentioned in today’s article? Well, monitor even today but for desktops, you will have to wait until May 5.
