Checking for file transfer from iTunes Library to and external hard drive

How do I know that the new files/music I’m transferring from my ITunes Library to my new 500GB External Hard Drive is being saved? What is my assurance, that the transferred files/music are being stored in it? Please enlighten me. Your response will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Checking for file transfer from iTunes Library to and external hard drive

Hallo Abbner,

Which method are you using to transfer the files from your iTunes library to the external hard drive? Because I will suggest that you copy the files and paste them as opposed to using the 'send to' option.

Just create a folder in the external hard drive and copy all the files that you need to transfer from the iTunes library and then paste them in the folder that you have created on the external hard drive. You will the files copied to the folder and then try playing them using any music player you have on your computer to verify that they are indeed working.
