Hi everyone,
I received this error when attempting  Synch postcasts as well :

Can't play. Although the item appears to be in a supported format, the Zune software is unable to play it.

This is odd because I am able to play the files through Zune when I open them via Win Explorer.

Here is a picture to better describe my problem

Episode Download Error

Zune software is unable to play a supported format file.

The reason why your Zune software cannot play your podcast is because your Windows Media Player cannot read ID3tags.  The MP3 files might be using either compressed ID3 headers, WMP-unreadable ID3v2 data or unsynchronized headers.

ID3 is a metadata container used in MP3 Audio format that includes information about the title, artist, track number, etc.  In this case, WMP cannot read these tags.  You have two options: either you use a tag editing software, or you remove the ID3 tagging on the file.

I suggest a quick way of removing it:

Open file in WinAmp and right click on File info

Uncheck ID3v1 tag and ID3v2 tag

Click update.  The file should then work!
