Yahoo Messenger Not Sending IMs

Hi,

I am not able to send IMs that are not in contact list. But when I add them up I can not send messages.

It did not happen to me before.

I don't want to have permanent contact list with anyone at the moment so I would like to talk to them temporarily without adding them to contact lists.

Dear friend

  • This problem occurs sometimes when your messages are left in waiting list of the server due to heavy chat rush.
  • The problem is also caused by some antivirus program like AVG which doesn’t allow messages being send during virus scan, so disable it and check problem is solved or not.
  • Below steps is also helpful if the root cause of problems are not above.

 

  • Click messenger drop down menu.
  • Select preference.
  • Select ignore list on the left side
  • Click radio button “ignore only the people below”.
  • Press Apply and Ok.
  • Logout and Login again.

Yahoo messenger is great in this problem you need to update the Yahoo messenger to new version that's why IM won't ping the other person in the chat room the latest version is yahoo messenger 5.11 you can check it

www.yahoo.com/download/ just install the new version.it has a lot of new features you might like to make you getting more exciting.
