Screen freezing upon start up or on windows logo could sometimes be because of some external hard drive or flash drive that doesn’t have an Operating System that might have been attached to the computer upon turning the system on. You can try the following to resolve the issue:

  1. Turn off your computer
  2. Unplug all external devices or peripherals such as flash drives, and/or external hard drives
  3. Turn on your computer
  4. Once the computer has booted up successfully, then plug back in your external storage device

Remember that every time you start your system, there shouldn’t be any external storage device attached to the computer to avoid screen freezing.
