Hi experts,

When I want to install WordPress on my MAC with X Lion OS this error appears. I don’t know what I cannot install it because is downloaded from a trusted website and is a trusted source. Any solution ? Why I have this and what should I do to make the install properly ?

Thank you experts !

Hello,

This is due to a new feature introduced in the latest  Mac with X Lion OS , version 10.8, known as a Gatekeeper. This  prevents apps from installing which came from mistrusted sources. This is a default program which stops you from installing your apps, but their are some ways you still perform your task,

  • Turn off the Gatekeeper error notification , temporarily.  for this :

1.     press ctrl+click over the application in "?", then choose open

2.     Click it to the dialog box: "warning to launch tha app anyway"

  • Permanently disabling Gatekeeper. Always use this option when you have complete faith over your app, because this is a potential threat for your system. To do this:

o    Choose “Security & Privacy” and then click the “General” tab, followed by clicking the lock icon in the corner to unlock the settings.

o    In the section Allow applications downloaded from, select Anywhere

o   Accept the security warning and allow

o    Now you are free to launch your app installation from any location.

Hello Cooper,

It appears that your operating system cannot find the solution to the local host domain designation. You may wish to review if there is an identical entry on your C systems file. You should attempt to aggregate it and have the Word press stack reinstalled. These entries could be causing the conflict  in your system. Erase all of the archives which apply 127.0.0.1 from the file designated as host and attempt to reinstall the Word press file.
