WMM and WMP are causing problem while import files showing corrupted

Hello,

Need help on “not valid or corrupt” files. WMM and WMP are causing problem for me. I keep getting messages that the files I’m trying to import to WMM are “not valid or corrupt”.

I couldn’t get any more details out of it. I’ve successfully imported media into WMM and those worked last week. Now, WMM doesn’t work at all.

Waiting for your solution.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Egerton Akeen,

Try to over come this problems so that the error which is shown during your process may vanish.

  • There may be incompatible audio file or video clip that you are importing into the WMM.
  • Another issue is there may be missing of required codec.
  • Finally there is chance of creating conflicts by the codec that you installed on your machine.

Thanks.

Hi Gran Wesner,

Importing files especially in the internet are very dangerous, many malwares and viruses hide in many media files. Try to update your antivirus and scan your PC. Or maybe the file that you’re importing is really invalid so installing a codec is the solution. You can also use System Restore if your WMM doesn’t work now.
